Biography / History
Bronislaw Dembinski (1858-1939) was a diplomat and scholar. He was a member of a group researching sources for the history of Poland in Vatican Archives in 1886 and 1887. He served in the Polish Ministry of Religion Issues and Education (1918-1920). From 1923 he was a professor in Department of History at University of Poznan. He was also a member of the Polish Acadamy of Arts and Sciences and President of the Polish Group in the International Association of Friends of the League of Nations. Abstract
The collection contains correspondence of Bronislaw Dembinski (1925-1937) with American Council of Learned Societies. The main part of the collection are typescripts of Diaries of Bronislaw Dembinski (1882-1914). There are also letters of Anna Dembinska to PIASA sent with Dembinski’s Diaries (1946).
